An excellent opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK's leading providers of pet services. Based at Silvermere Haven in Cobham we are now looking to recruit an Aftercare Advisor to join our experienced crematorium team.
This varied role will encompass working with our team of Aftercare Advisors to provide pet cremation services to pet owners. While predominantly office based, this role also entails an element of visiting clients' homes to collect owners beloved pets that have passed, collecting from veterinary practices and working with the crematorium and packing teams.
Within this role you will be working as part of a team, but also predominantly by yourself. We require someone with empathy, strong communication skills and a proven track record of excellent customer service. You will potentially seeing and touching pets that have been put to sleep who may need cleaning up so it is vital that you will be comfortable dealing with pets that may of past several days ago.
This is a full time position working Monday - Friday 08:30-17:00.
Responsibilities include:
Receive telephone calls from and making telephone calls to pet owner to make arrangement for the cremation of pets
Taking payment for the cremation of pets
Responding to enquiries/queries from general public and veterinary clients
Maintaining a record of calls and financial transactions on Company systems
Collecting deceased pets from clients' homes / veterinary practices
Attending to pet owners visiting the crematorium in person
Preparing pets for viewing
Handling pets in a respectful and dignified manner
Assisting with the packing, checking and return of pets' ashes
Other ad-hoc duties as and when required.
