We are looking for a Compliance Lead – Online Veterinary Dispensary to join our friendly team on a hybrid basis.
We are looking for someone on a permanent / part-time basis working 22.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday, 10:00 – 14:30.
Summary of role:
The Compliance Lead will be responsible for ensuring that Animed operates in strict adherence to the latest regulations and guidelines set by governing bodies, including the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD). This role is pivotal in maintaining compliance with the Veterinary Medicines Regulations (VMR) and ensuring that all operational procedures align with legal requirements for both retail and wholesale distribution of veterinary medicinal products.
The role will have a dotted-line reporting relationship with the Group Wholesaler Qualified Person (WQP) and will oversee compliance with wholesale distribution conditions. The ideal candidate will be a Wholesaler Qualified Person (WQP) or be willing to work towards this qualification.
Responsibilities include maintaining policies and procedures within Q-Pulse and Doctract, ensuring prescription validity, and conducting risk assessments to mitigate compliance risks. The role also involves liaising with veterinary practices, working closely with the prescription administration team, and conducting audits to ensure regulatory adherence.
Skills and Experience Required:
In-depth knowledge of the Veterinary Medicines Regulations and other relevant legislation governing the sale of veterinary medicines online
Experience in regulatory compliance within the veterinary or pharmaceutical industry, particularly in an online retail environment.
Strong organisational skills with experience in policy development and documentation management.
Excellent communication skills for effective liaison with internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and veterinary professionals.
Proficiency in using documentation systems such as Q-Pulse and Doctract is desirable.
This role is essential in ensuring that Animed not only meets but exceeds the compliance standards required for the online sale of veterinary medicines, thereby safeguarding animal health and maintaining customer trust.
