This is an exciting opportunity for a Head RVN to join us as we open for the first time as White Oak Vets in Peterlee! Salary £30,000 - £37,000 FTE depending on experience. Full time preferred, but a part time role could be considered for the right candidate.
Become a part of our journey at our new £1.1 million site, and lead a fantastic nursing team of 3 RVNs and 1 PCA.
About us...
We are a single site first opinion small animal practice with a loyal client base who are committed to providing high quality, evidence based, compassionate care to our clients and their pets.
Our new site has both dental and DR X-Ray systems, a shiny new US, and all the feline friendly facilities you could want!
We are lucky to have a fantastic nursing team already in place, with nurses with interests in diagnostic imaging and behaviour / physiotherapy already playing key roles in practice direction.
The role…
As head nurse you will work closely with the other members of the practice leadership team to ensure the smooth day to day running of the practice.
You will support a small but excellent nursing team, encouraging them to reach their full potential and realise their career goals while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture across the practice.
We would love you to take a leading role in setting up and encouraging uptake of nurse led clinics as well as encouraging your team to upskill further to increase the services that we can offer our wonderful clients!
What are we looking for...
A motivated and positive RVN with excellent communication skills and a strong focus on providing exceptional patient care and customer service.
You will be responsible and accountable for delivery of clinical services in line with company expectations so high standards of patient care and excellent organisational skills are a must!
While we have no SVN's currently, this is likely to change in the future so a willingness to act as a clinical coach is also a must. Previous experience in a leadership role would be an advantage, however this role could also suit an experienced RVN ready to take the next step in their career – the right person is sometimes more important than the right experience!
