Are you a Vet or an RVN looking for your next big challenge? Are you ready to take on 3 busy practices in the heart of Newcastle?

If so, this job might be for you!

We are looking for a Practice/Clinical Director for a multisite clinic in the North East. Firstvets has 3 sites, 1 based on Chillingham Road in Newcastle, 1 in North Shields and 1 at Forest Hall. Across those sites, we have a fantastic team of 5 vets, 4 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 2 patient care assistants, 7 receptionists and a practice administrator. Several of these team members have been with Firstvets for many years!

Patient and client care is at the heart of what we do at Firstvets, and we are always looking at ways to improve our customer and clinical services. As the practice/clinical director you will lead and support the teams with changes and challenges, whilst also having a clinical presence within the practice.

We are looking for someone with fantastic leadership skills but also someone who can be approachable and work in a team that feels like family. Organisational skills are essential for this role, as you will not only have responsibility for the clinical aspects of the job but also the financial side of running a well-established, reputable veterinary practice. With that in mind, an interest in practice performance is essential.

Why us?

We know as well as anyone that you consider your pet to be a member of your family. That is why the whole team here treat your pet as one of their own and work hard to provide the very best veterinary care services.

A comment from the current practice director:

‘I was placed in this post on a secondment from another practice in the area. During my time at Firstvets, I have felt really welcomed by the team and thoroughly enjoyed working with them.'

Working hours / benefits:

The role is full time, although hours are open to discussion. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will require a full UK driver's licence.

Salary for this role will depend on experience and be supported by a generous benefits package as per below.
