Here at Bristol Veterinary Specialists, we are looking for an RVN to work in our Orthopaedic Department.
We are a brand-new multidisciplinary referral centre, based Central Park in Avonmouth, Bristol. Covering over 30,000 square feet, we are custom built with uniquely designed facilities and the latest cutting-edge equipment.
With Specialists in all disciplines able to treat anything and everything under one roof, our hospital acts as a flagship hub for small animal pet owners in the Southwest and Wales. Our excellent location is easily accessible from major motorways – M5, M4, M49.

The right candidate will join a team of nurses, auxiliaries and duty vets to deliver the highest standards of care for our patients.
You will be a registered and experienced nurse who is forward-thinking, shows empathy and demonstrates exemplary teamwork.
The role will consist of 4 x 10hr days of mixed shifts between the surgical ward and orthopaedic procedures. We provide a full 4 week induction, mentoring and support to enhance your skills in advanced nursing care.
(You will also participate in a bank holiday and weekend working rota)
You will participate in a range of :
Ward based nursing providing inpatient care to include; wound and bandage management, rehabilitation methods, pain monitoring, cryotherapy, general medication and recovery of surgical patients (TPLO, MPL, hip replacement, limb amputations etc)
Orthopaedic procedures such as joint taps, x-rays, CT, MRI, ultrasound, EMG, bandage changes, orthotic fittings, wound checks and recheck examinations.
Previous experience in referral nursing would be beneficial but we also encourage applications from registered veterinary nurses with several years' post-qualification, first opinion practice experience etc.
