Location: Hybrid - 3 to 4 days per week working from home with 1 to 2 days per week working from a practice across the region (with travel expensed)

Summary of role:
To perform specifically the administrative duties of the debt collection process, as directed by the regional director. The role will be responsible for the active chasing of debt on behalf of practices throughout various stages of the debt process.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
People
To be a key member of the region contributing significant effort to make sure the team attains its debt targets by providing an efficient, collaborative service.
Keep up to date by reading internal and external communications.
Ensure key understanding of the PMS system at all times.
Ensure strong knowledge of the Companion Animal Debt policy
Attend team / Practice meetings as directed by your regional director
Share knowledge, information and experience freely with others & support debt prevention training in practice.
Work professionally with all members of region, practice and central colleagues
Participate as a team player by being involved in team activities and being sensitive to others' needs.
Ensure takes a proactive approach to requesting support when required from Group Credit Controller
Clinical
Gain basic knowledge of how a veterinary practice runs to assist in chasing debt
Work with clinical colleagues professionally and as required
Client
Maintain an open and approachable manner at all times.
Ensure accurate completion of all administrative tasks including the processing of payments and monies and the maintenance of clients' records.
Ensure that all documentation is processed as per practice protocol and in a prompt and efficient manner.
Ensure that all communications with clients and practice are within protocol and performed professionally. Specifically following the CA debt policy and adopting standard templates for chasing debt from clients.
Proactively take action to ensure the debt position within the Practice is fully controlled and that Debt Recovery Protocols are being followed in order to achieve target including Debt Tagging and the managing of unallocated payments.
Commercial
Follow CVS practice protocols and policies to provide a safe and legal environment.
Use own initiative to work through tasks methodically, planning and prioritising them on a day to-day basis
Achieve Key KPI's in relation to debt chasing set by both RD's and the wider company
Reduce 90-day debt levels within your area of responsibility
Experience and Key Skills Required:
Computer skills including Microsoft, Excel and Power point
Be able to make decisions at pace
Be able to demonstrate resilience in the face of complex and challenging environments
Strong organisational and analytical skills
Ability to self-motivate and work efficiently through self-direction as well as across a regional team
Excellent administration skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong customer service orientation & communications (internal & external Customers/Clients)
Ability to mentor, coach, engage and train practice teams on the client debt chasing process
Takes initiative, adopts a flexible and proactive approach and has a drive to support the debt control process across the region
Comfortable to work independently and within teams often working towards tight deadlines with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Highly organised with strong organisational, planning and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at any one time.
Able to analyse a wide range of information and data
