Linden House is a friendly, care centred practice of 4 Vets, 5 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 4 receptionists. We are a Dogs Trust ‘Dog Friendly Practice' and hold the ISFM silver award for cats. We see a variety of GP cases as well as some small mammals and hedgehogs from a local rehabilitator.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an RVN to join our team due to increased vet recruitment. This role is flexible and could be anything from 2-5 days a week, school hours, usual hours or longer days. Just let us know what you are looking for!
We have no OOH commitments, but this role does include a Saturday morning shift 8:30-12:30 on a 1 in 4 rota (or PT equivalent) given back as til or as part of your paid hours.
Our RVNs are an experienced, pro-active team. As well as the usual theatre, prep and patient care, they are responsible for a variety of nurse clinics which run every day and are very popular with our regular clients. We also have a ‘handling' shift that directly supports the vet consults and supervises our dispensary.
We have a fantastic range of internal CPD courses on the CVS Knowledge Hub and our practice director (who is also an RVN) actively encourages nurse CPD and conference attendance.
Salary up to £30,000 depending on experience and hours undertaken.
CVS have a strong company EDI Committee and five specific Colleague EDI Groups with focuses on Ability & Neurodiversity, Ethnicity, Gender, LGBTQ+ and Social Mobility. Our focus is on making CVS a great place to work and to have a career for everyone, no matter who you are, your background, or how you identify.
There are many opportunities and pathways for nurses within our wider group! If you are looking to progress into leadership or management within a practice or perhaps something remote based, we can support you. We have recently launched “CVS Nursing Career Pathway” with the aim of demonstrating clear career progression for nurses across first opinion, referral and equine practices. You can have lifelong career here, regardless of what your current interest is! Click here to find out more: https://vimeo.com/904977057/532bcae978?share=copy
