Animed Veterinary Hospital is a small but thriving animal hospital based in Shedfield, and the only RCVS registered hospital in the Fareham area. We are searching for an experienced and committed veterinary surgeon to join us on a  full or part time basis where you will have the opportunity to work within a well-established practice with state of the art facilities, including A dedicated orthopaedic theatre, fully equipped soft tissue theatres (both with laparoscopic equipment)

  • A double dental suite
  • A dedicated imaging suite
  • Visiting CT
  • Separate wards for dogs, cats, and exotic pets

 

The role of the Senior Vet includes:

  • Support Practice Director by leading and driving clinical standards in the practice, ensuring high standards of patient care
  • Supporting junior members of the team, providing excellent mentoring and teaching while they master basic surgical procedures
  • Collaborating with the Practice Director to optimise client service and business growth, budgeting and finances.
  • Ensuring all care aligns with the RCVS Code of Professional Conduct and delivers appropriate medical and surgical care, attending scheduled clinical meetings.
  • Experienced in undertaking emergency procedures such as exploratory laparotomies, pleural effusion drainage and bladder unblocking for male cats.
  • Driving forward the practice in forward-thinking medical and clinical techniques.
