Role: Veterinary Surgeon

We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join us here at Castle Vets. You will join an established practice with many loyal clients, varied cases, and the chance to develop your specific areas of interest. This role will offer the opportunity to work across our Barnard Castle and Bishop Auckland practices.
This is an exciting opportunity for a veterinary surgeon to work in our small animal practice. You'll be joining a hard-working established team that offers you the chance to work with a variety of different levels of experience from Graduates to Senior Vets and to look towards developing your career further. The team is warm and welcoming, having monthly vet meetings and the chance for regular socials.
This position would suit an experienced small animal vet who has surgical experience in routine and emergency procedures and possesses good communication skills. You will have a team player mentality and a passion to deliver excellent care and client service.

There is a good management structure for support with a CD and Senior CD to support with all aspects of daily vet life! Wellbeing is important, and our diary set up enables us to do our job effectively without having to compromise on time.
We also have a separate farm department – Castle Farm Vets.
Salary and Hours:
This is a permanent role, and we are happy to discuss full or part time working hours.
Our practice opening hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 to 18:00 and Saturdays 09:00 to 12:00.
Our practice is supported out of hours by Wear Referrals.
