Head Vet at Medway City Vets – Up to £72,000 per annum DOE & Up to £5,000 Welcome Bonus!
Medway City Vets are looking for a Head Small Animal Vet to join their team on a full time basis.
Located in the historic town of Rochester, Medway City Vets is located close to excellent transport links and local amenities. With combined experience of over 100 years, the colleagues at Medway City Vets are well established and many being in role for many years. The team are close-knit, offer vast support and share a passion for their patients and clients. With multi parameter patient monitoring, ultrasound and dental Xray we are well equipped to deliver high standards of first opinion patient care.
The Head Vet will work collaboratively with the Head Nurse and act as clinical care advocate in order to ensure we are aligned with the CVS Clinical Governance Framework.
The head Vet will lead and direct the clinical team, supported by the Head Veterinary Nurse.
With extremely low admin levels, there is a 50/50 spilt of consultations and surgeries enabling the successful candidate to work up cases and further develop clinical interests.

The role of the Head Vet includes:
Direct, guide and mentor the Clinical Team
Support Practice Director by leading and driving clinical standards in the practice, ensuring high standards of patient care
Work to develop the reputation and client base of the practice
Ensuring all care aligns with the RCVS Code of Professional Conduct and delivers appropriate medical and surgical care, organising scheduled clinical meetings.
Continuously look to improve processes and the way the practice team works and be proactive in identifying challenges and opportunities
