Due to expansion in sales, we are seeking an additional experienced Warehouse Operative for our veterinary practice/warehouse based in Metheringham. We currently dispense to clients across the UK and EU, to independent food producers and other veterinary practices.
The primary purpose of the role is to carry out general warehouse and logistic duties as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor. The duties of the successful candidate will include:
Assist the warehouse team with preparing orders for dispatch via courier, ensuring daily deadlines are met as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Maintaining accurate records of stock using warehouse management systems, this typically involves the use of a hand-held scanner; therefore, a good understanding of computerised systems is essential.
Receiving deliveries, checking for damaged or missing items, and verifying against paperwork.
Placing goods in designated storage areas, ensuring proper organisation and stock rotation according to established procedures.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
To be aware of, and follow, warehouse safety procedures conforming to current legislative requirements.
The ideal candidate will have an in-date Counterbalance Forklift licence with experience; however this is not essential.
