We have a great opportunity with two fixed term roles available for 12 months to cover maternity, starting this Autumn, with a view of becoming permanent for the right candidates.
The roles would suit vets with a minimum of 2 years' experience looking to further develop their clinical skills and knowledge. For one of the roles, experience in orthopaedics would be an advantage.
Our large ambulatory team attend a varied and diverse caseload. We also encourage vets to follow their cases alongside the specialists through the hospital where time allows, enabling you to continue to learn and develop. We have regular, informal CPD with our specialists consisting of imaging, hospital, M+M rounds, and case discussions. Our purpose-built RCVS accredited Equine Veterinary Hospital has been awarded “Outstanding” in all 5 PSS Awards.
We have all the mobile equipment required to work up cases to a high level on the road when required, usually accompanied by one of our ambulatory nursing assistants.
With no OOH thanks to Equicall, we really strive to focus on our vet's wellbeing. This is helped with admin time in diaries, time allocated for a lunch break and a rota for picking up the late afternoon calls.
Salary will be commensurate with experience with BEVA/RCVS subscriptions paid. We are situated in the heart of Kent with great transport links especially to London or further afield to Europe by Eurostar.
We offer:
5 weeks leave a year plus bank holidays, rising to 6 weeks leave a year after first 5 years of service (1 extra day per annum based on service), options to buy/sell holiday to a maximum of 7 weeks
