Vet Direct are excited to be recruiting for an Assistant Stock Controller who will be based at our warehouse in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00. Within this role the successful applicant will:
Work as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced warehouse under the guidance of the warehouse leadership. Ensure a comprehensive cycle count is conducted monthly with every planned location counted. Ensure accuracy and integrity of stock is maintained. Highlighting discrepancies and notifying Stock Controller of any trends.
Process all customer returns.
Pick and pack as business needs require
Assist with Goods In as the business requires.
Other Key Responsibilities Include:
Provide comprehensive cycle counting to ensure accuracy and integrity of stock.
Support the OrderWise system, processes, controls and reports.
Process all the customer Returns.
Perform Cycle counts and investigate any stock deviations.
Cover Stock controller task's when needed.
Operate flexibility in a warehouse team working environment.
Keeping all paperwork up to date.
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Picker/FLT operation desirable.
Be trained in picking and packing as the role will require these duties to be completed during busy periods or when requested by management.

Desirable:
Experienced in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Power Point, and Outlook.
Experience of WMS systems – Orderwise knowledge & the use of hand held scanners would be a distinct advantage.
