Role Overview

The Dispensary Manager plays a critical role in our operations, ensuring the seamless management of our dispensary. Situated at our warehouse in Diss, Norfolk, this position is integral to maintaining high standards of medication dispensing and compliance with industry regulations. The role demands a professional who is not only skilled in the intricacies of dispensary management but also adept at leading a team and providing top-notch service to our clients and their pets.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance: Uphold stringent adherence to Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) regulations, as well as our Practice Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Dispensing Practice (GDP).
  • Medication Dispensing: Efficiently process and dispense medications in line with veterinary instructions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the dispensary staff, fostering development, organizing workloads, and ensuring effective teamwork.
  • System Management: Oversee the use of computer systems for managing stock and dispensing, ensuring records are meticulously maintained.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in collaboration with the Operations Manager to enhance efficiency.
  • Customer Focus: Maintain high service standards by ensuring customer orders are dispensed with promptness and precision.

 

Experience and Key Skills Required

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a dispensary.
  • Certification as an SQP/EQP in relevant disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with veterinary medications and experience with pharmacy robotics.
