Dispensing Veterinary Surgeon

Are you a MRCVS Qualified Veterinary Surgeon seeking a hybrid role out of practice? 

We are looking for a Dispensing Vet to join our friendly team. We are looking for someone on a permanent/part-time basis working 25 hours a week, Monday - Friday, 07:00-12:00. 

Animed was established in 2010 and sells medicines, pet food and other animal related products to customers across the UK via its website Pet Foods | Pet Prescription Medication | Pet Accessories.  Animed has an online turnover of over £40m p.a in the UK and has plans in place to expand sales across other European markets in the near future. As part of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Dispensing Veterinary Surgeon in a hybrid position (majority office-based in Diss, with some capacity for homeworking). Within this role you will work as part of a team of vets who are responsible for:

• Ensuring prescription validity, clinical accuracy and compliance with VMD regulations
• Liaising with veterinary practices and prescribing veterinary surgeons to clarify any prescription anomalies or queries
• Working with the prescription administration team to ensure that all prescriptions are processed in a timely manner

Key skills and experience required as follows:

• MRCVS Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (new or recent graduates are welcome to apply)
• Some clinical experience as a qualified veterinary surgeon is preferred but not essential 
• An up to date CPD record
• Proficient computing/IT skills 
• Good customer service skills
