About Us: Animed was established in 2010 and sells medicines, pet food and other animal related products to customers across the UK via its website Pet Foods | Pet Prescription Medication | Pet Accessories. 

We are passionate about what we do and the outstanding service we provide to our customers and their pets, whether they be two-legged, four legged, feathered or finned!

Working hours: 24 hours per week, working across Friday, Saturday and Sunday 08:00-17:00. We are open to discussing a job share for this role. This is a fully remote role with in depth training delivered remotely.

Role Overview: As a Dispensing Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal health and well-being of our patients through accurate and efficient prescription reviews and medication dispensing. Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing prescriptions to ensure their validity and clinical appropriateness.
• Raising queries with veterinary practices where clarification is required from the prescribing veterinary surgeon.
• Dispensing medications with attention to detail, ensuring compliance with veterinary guidelines.
• Providing clear guidance to pet owners on medication administration and potential side effects.
• Collaborating with our veterinary team to support holistic patient care.
• Maintaining accurate records of pharmaceutical dispensation and inventory.

Qualifications:

• Veterinary degree and registration with RCVS.
• Experience in a clinical setting, including prescribing dispensing.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
