We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a knowledge of horses to join us as an Office Administrator at Endell Equine Hospital.

 

Location: Salisbury

Contract: Permanent 

Hours: We are looking for two part-time team members to join our team

Each role will be between 15 – 25 hours per week, depending on the split between roles. 

Shift Pattern: The office is open Monday – Friday between 08.00 – 17.30 and the shifts required are predominantly afternoons and some full days on Thursdays and Fridays.

About the role:

Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Logistical planning of Vet's diaries
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Dealing with account queries and payments
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Dispensing medications
  • Taking payments
  • And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

 

What we're looking for in our Equine Veterinary Receptionist:

  • Previous Receptionist experience is essential; veterinary and equine experience is a plus!
  • Experience with horses or equine knowledge is desired
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise your workload is essential
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with busy and potentially emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
