Endell Equine Hospital have an exciting opportunity for a full-time experienced Groom/ Equine Patient Care Assistant to join our busy Equine hospital in Salisbury.
We have both ambulatory and hospital-based vets, seeing a wide and interesting caseload.
This position would be predominantly based in the hospital, with the successful applicant working within our team of vets, nurses and yard staff. This is a varied role assisting with lameness investigations, diagnostic imaging, inpatient care and some yard work / cleaning. Occasional nursing support to the team of ambulatory vets may be required.
Our patient care assistants receive training to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to best care for our patients.
The successful applicant must be proactive, hardworking and motivated with good horse handling skills and although some experience within a veterinary setting would be useful, in-house training in all aspects of the equine veterinary care will be provided.
You will be passionate about horse welfare, have a high attention to detail, be hardworking and thrive on being part of a busy team. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent stable management skills and be confident in working with a range of horses.
This role is expected to be Monday -Friday 8am - 4pm. Occasional weekend and bank holiday cover will also be required.
