Valley Equine Hospital is looking for a dedicated and hardworking full-time Equine Patient Care Assistant.
Duties include, but are not limited to: general yard work; mucking out, feeding, grooming, and maintaining the appearance of the yard and inpatients to the highest of standards.
The role will also include some aspects of clinical duties with the nursing team such as assisting with lameness investigations and imaging acquisition.
Additionally, we can offer the opportunity for the right candidate to progress from Patient Care Assistant to pursuing a career in Veterinary Nursing with us.
Necessary skills required:
Excellent communication skills
A passion for horses and their welfare
Experience of working on a yard with competition/racehorses
Ability to work on own initiative and work well as a team
Motivated and hard working
