Due to one of our senior colleagues relocating back home we are looking for a dairy focused vet to boost our team of 12 farm vets and 6 ATTs/Vet Techs at Dyfed Farm Vets in South West Wales. This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone who has mastered the basics of fertility and herd health work but is not getting the opportunities to progress in their current position. You would work with herds ranging from more traditional family farms to highly progressive commercial units, sharing routine work with other vets whilst supported by our experienced admin and Vet Tech teams. Our priority is finding a vet with the right attitude, aptitude and enthusiasm to complement our team and support our farmers and their businesses.
Dyfed Farm Vets is a friendly, progressive farm only practice working out of two fully equipped branches in Carmarthen and St Clears (8 minutes apart). Our primary working area covers Carmarthenshire, with some clients in Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Swansea and includes some of the country's best coastline and beaches. Please see link to our website to find out what we get up to! - We care for farm animals in Carmarthenshire | Dyfed Farm Vets

We provide a broad range of clinical services including Advanced Breeding Services, flock and beef health clubs, health planning, obstetrics and everything else you would expect of a modern farm animal practice.
Out of hours cover is shared equally amongst the team on a 1/6 rota. We have 2 vets on call at a time and FT vets work a half day following a night duty. A day off in lieu is given during the following week after a weekend on call.
