The Role

The Field Training Support Partner plays a key role in delivering high-quality training, coaching, and field-based support to veterinary practices across the Healthy Pet Club (HPC), Petplan insurance and Direct Pet Cremation engagement.

This role is focused on driving engagement, increasing adoption of key client offerings, and ensuring consistent understanding and application of best practice processes across all sites. Working closely with practice teams, Regional Directors, and external partners, the post holder will embed effective training, support performance improvement, and contribute to an outstanding client experience.

This is a field-based role with extensive travel and therefore the position does come with a car. We estimate 70% of your time will be spent travelling across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands-on practical training and remote support to practice teams, ensuring clear, confident communication and effective problem resolution.
  • Review monthly KPI reports to measure performance, track progress, and highlight opportunities.
  • Continually review, develop, and enhance training materials to ensure colleagues are confident and capable in promoting Client Operations services and offerings to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver consistent, up-to-date training and support across the UK and Northern Ireland.
  • Monitor and evaluate the adoption of HPC, Petplan, and DPC processes, working closely with Regional Directors to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance
  • Attend and contribute to regional and practice meetings to reinforce key messages, training, and engagement initiatives.
  • Plan and manage a structured field diary to ensure targeted, efficient, and impactful delivery of support and training.
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions to address knowledge gaps, ensuring alignment with standardised operational workflows and best practices.
  • Gather, summarise, and communicate feedback from practices to the Client Operations team to support ongoing improvements.
  • Provide responsive troubleshooting support for Regional, Practice colleagues across HPC, Insurance & Direct Pet Cremation.
  • Maintain continuous review and enhancement of training delivery methods across Client Operations activities.
  • Support key events such as New Graduate programmes to raise awareness and understanding of Client Operations.
  • Lead and develop the HPC Champion network, driving engagement, knowledge sharing, and best practice through regular interaction and activity.
  • Contribute to wider Client Operations priorities, supporting cross-functional initiatives as required.

  • A strong understanding and experience of veterinary operations and workflows.
  • worked in a similar role before and has worked in a multi-site role
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with IT literacy especially of office, Powerpoint, Excel and practice management systems.
  • Able to build networks quickly and effectively to respond and adapt as priorities change.
  • Proven record of success in managing performance, improving business within matrix structures
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on KPI delivery
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, problem solve and be a self-starter.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to convery information in a succinct manger.
  • Strong motivator and influencing skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to contribute effectively
  • Strong customer service and support orientation
  • Experiencing of working with veterinary sector an advantage
  • Ability for sustained travel with overnight stays as required 
  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence as 70% of role requires UK travel
