We are looking for a confident and passionate RVN to join us as Head Veterinary Nurse here at B&W Equine Hospital in Breadstone!
B&W Equine Hospital is one of Europe's most advanced diagnostic and surgical centres and offers the highest level of specialist equine care. It is the largest equine hospital in the South West and is staffed by a team of veterinary surgeons who are Specialists in surgery, orthopaedics, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine and sports medicine & rehabilitation. It benefits from cutting-edge facilities and equipment including dedicated neonatal ICU, Isolation facilities, scintigraphy, standing and GA CT, low field MRI. The practice has excellent communication links and is only 15 mins from either junction 13 or 14 of the M5.
As our Head Nurse, you will lead enthusiastically from the front and be closely involved in the management and training of our large nursing team. You will be proactive with a good sense of humour and have a forward-thinking approach, as well as the ability to prioritise your workload and engage with your team regularly.
You will have significant equine nursing experience within a hospital environment and ideally previous leadership experience as a team leader/deputy or head nurse
This role is 40 hours per week, and will involve some night/weekend OOH work on an excellent rota
