Join Our Team as a Head Veterinary Receptionist!

  

We're on the lookout for an internal colleague to step into the role of a Head Veterinary Receptionist at our Beechwood Veterinary Hospital.

 

Role Details:

Location: To be based at our Doncaster Hospital - 51 Bawtry Road, Doncaster, DN4 7AA

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, with a share in the Weekend rota

About the Role:

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the Receptionist team, including training and providing support and guidance
  • Being point of contact for complaints and escalations
  • Line management and conducting team 1-2-1's/check-ins
  • Creating and managing the team rota
  • Supporting with Recruitment and liaising with the internal recruitment team

 

Additional Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Dispensing medications
  • Taking payments
  • And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

 

Who We're Looking For:

  • Previous Receptionist experience is essential
  • Leadership skills would be highly desirable
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
