White Lodge Veterinary Surgery, based in an area of outstanding natural beauty with Woodbury Common, the Exe Estuary, the coast and 1.5 miles of sandy beach on our doorstep. We have an exciting opportunity for an RVN to join as our Head Nurse. You will be working closely with our Head Vet to provide leadership to our clinical team, with a commitment to promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement and clinical excellence. We are looking for a confident and capable leader with excellent communication skills.
Our practice prides itself on being a part of the local community and is staffed by a friendly, vibrant team. We are an RCVS training practice and have 5 RVN's, one student veterinary nurse and two patient care assistants. White Lodge is also a Bristol Vet School training partner and you will support student learning whilst they are on 4-week placements as part of their final year rotations. Duties will include managing the day-to-day running of the clinical areas, delegation and oversight of areas of responsibility within the nursing team, induction of new staff members, regular ‘check-ins' and one to one meetings, Organising and leading nurse team meetings , monthly rotas, controlled drugs audits and other administrative duties associated with the role.
This is a full-time role working 35 to 40 hours a week with 1 in 5 Saturday mornings. There are no OOH duties. We can offer a salary up to £37,000 per annum depending on experience.
