We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to step into a Head Vet (Maternity Cover) position at our welcoming and well‑established YourVets Sheldon practice.

If you're looking to take the next step in your career, this role offers the perfect balance of leadership responsibility and clinical work—within a supportive, collaborative environment.

What We Offer

  • Full‑time and part‑time applicants welcome
  • 4‑day week (full‑time)
  • 1:3 Saturdays
  • No OOH or sole charge
  • A set operating day each week
  • An additional day off every 4 weeks, giving you a 3‑day weekend once a month
  • A leadership role supporting the team day‑to‑day with clinical guidance, case discussions, and decision‑making

Our Team

You'll be joining a friendly team of 8 vets, from new graduates through to colleagues with 20+ years of experience.
This mix creates an environment rich in collaboration, discussion, and shared learning—perfect for a Head Vet who enjoys mentoring and supporting others.

Our Sheldon practice is part of a wider group of 5 YourVets practices, supported by around 30 FTE Vets, including several certificate holders. This provides plenty of opportunity for progression, support, and case continuity.
