At CVS Veterinary Group, our purpose is to provide the best possible care to animals. Our vision is to be the veterinary company people most want to work for.

We are an international integrated veterinary services provider which delivers to clients through four business areas; our veterinary practices, diagnostic laboratories and e-commerce division. Our success is derived from the passion our people have for animals and for making pets a priority, it's what is at the heart of our work, every day.

Summary of role:

We are a leading company in the veterinary sector with around 9,000 colleagues, most of whom are vets and nurses. We aim to recommend and provide the best clinical care.  We are always building our reputation and brand internally and  externally, this includes developing and delivering engaging content and events and improving our social media presence.

This role involves producing creative content that clearly demonstrates who we are: a leading provider of best-in-class veterinary care. A brief could include photography, videography, digital, print or assets that require artworking such as reports and presentations.

This is a hybrid role with a combination of working at CVS sites and remotely. The role includes on location videography and photography so the successful candidate will need to drive themselves to locations mostly in England, and occasionally in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. Some overnight stays may be required.

  • Recording and editing video for internal or external consumption.
  • Photography (Having a valid drone operator ID and experience of shooting drone footage would be an advantage)
  • Designing a range of materials, including reports, email bulletins, large format graphics, newsletters and social posts, from a clean sheet and within corporate and accessibility guidelines.
  • Supporting CVS colleagues and third parties on the use of the corporate brand.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to maintain brand consistency across internal and external communication.
  • Taking an interest in the important work of the CVS Group so you can use this knowledge to interpret briefs and inform output.
  • Understanding the veterinary sector and the daily challenges our colleagues face.
  • Measuring the effectiveness of the communications and incorporating this insight into future projects.
  • Checking work to ensure accuracy, compliance and consistency, and highlighting non-compliance.
  • Managing internal digital asset library.

Key Skills Required:

  • Creative design, storytelling and technical skills including:

Story boarding

Shooting video

Editing video including the addition of graphical elements

PowerPoint

Adobe Illustrator

InDesign or similar

Output of materials to print and/or electronic publication

Other applications including animation would be helpful

  • Listening to and interpreting briefs accurately.
  • Ability to advise internal clients on their design needs, including offering options and consulting on the best way forward.
  • A focus on accuracy and delivering content that upholds the company's reputation.
  • Ability to understand the issues in the veterinary profession as well as those issues that come with working in a large multi-faceted corporate organisation.
  • Ability to communicate on the status of projects, take and act on feedback.
  • Ability to prioritise projects and work within multiple deadlines.
  • Good written English with ability and confidence to proof own and others content.
