Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists is a specialist‑led, multidisciplinary referral hospital serving the South of England, including London, the South Coast and the Thames Valley. Our neurology team includes five ECVN Diplomates and an ECVN resident, supported by specialists across surgery, internal medicine, ECC, dermatology, oncology, diagnostic imaging and cardiology. We are an ISFM Gold Cat Friendly Clinic, a BVHA Design Award winner, and part of the national CVS (UK) Ltd referrals network.
Our on‑site facilities include a Siemens 1.5T MRI, 16‑slice CT, fluoroscopy, spinal endoscopy, surgical microscopy, digital radiography, ultrasonography and a dedicated chemotherapy suite. We also host final‑year University of Surrey veterinary students on intramural rotations.
We are seeking proactive, professional interns with excellent communication skills, strong teamwork and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A commitment to high‑quality patient care is essential.
Intern duties include inpatient care, consultations, emergency support, student teaching, supervised primary case responsibility, out‑of‑hours participation and assistance with diagnostics and surgery. You will gain broad exposure to medical and surgical neurology within a specialist team, with opportunities to engage in clinical research. This internship provides strong preparation for ECVN or ACVIM residency applications.
