Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists is a large, specialist-led multidisciplinary referral hospital in Alton, Hampshire, serving the South of England including London, the South Coast and the Thames Valley. Our team includes EBVS® European and American board-certified specialists across neurology and neurosurgery, surgery, internal medicine, ECC, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, oncology and cardiology. We are an ISFM Gold Cat Friendly Clinic, BVHA Design Award winner and part of the national CVS (UK) Ltd referrals network.
We are offering a three-year ECVN-standard residency supervised by five board‑certified neurologists, supported by a second resident, a neurology intern and three dedicated neurology nurses. Facilities include a Siemens 1.5T MRI, 16-slice CT, Natus electrodiagnostic unit, surgical microscope, surgical exoscope and spinal endoscope.
We seek proactive, professional candidates with strong communication, teamwork and resilience, and a commitment to exceptional patient care. Applicants must be MRCVS-eligible, have at least 24 months of UK small animal practice experience, and have completed a rotating internship or equivalent experience in first opinion practice. An interest in clinical research is desirable as there is also a need to conduct research projects as part of the residency requirements.
