We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our MiNight Vet team working nights on a 12-month fixed-term contract starting 3rd August 2025. You'll work in a primary care OOH setting based at ChesterGates Veterinary Specialists; a fully equipped RCVS approved Veterinary referral hospital (Please note the ChesterGates inpatients are under the care of the interns and referral clinicians).
MiNight Vet Chester Wirral provide 24-hour care for our first opinion member practices, including the care and treatment of MiNight Vet inpatients. You would work alongside our talented, friendly, caring team of vets, nurses, VCA's and receptionists who will make you feel very welcome and supported. Being located within the referral hospital means we have access to a fantastic support network to help further clinical development, as well as access to additional equipment and medications.
This position would suit an experienced small animal vet, preferably with a minimum of 4+ years' experience. The role involves primary care OOH consultations, receiving member practice case transfers, inpatient care, medical work ups and emergency surgery. A strong medical knowledge is required and experience in routine and emergency surgery as you'll handle cases such as foreign bodies, C-sections, GDV, dyspnoea cases, seizures, HGE , urethral obstructions, DKA's and more.
You will possess good communication skills and have a passion to deliver excellent care and client service.
