OOH Vet required to work a rotation of one week on/two weeks off. We are also open to discussing more flexible ways of working.
MiNightVet Stoke is a dedicated out-of-hours emergency provider for local veterinary practices. We have 39 small animal out-of-hours MiNightVet practices across the country to ensure 24/7 joined up care.
Each has state-of-the-art facilities and dedicated colleagues working around the clock to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care. We are a great place to work and have a career! Some of our incentives include:
Location: Stoke-on-Trent is one of the most up and coming cities in the UK! In 2022 Stoke topped the list of the best up and coming places to live. Made up of 6 towns, Stoke is situated in Staffordshire, with links to Birmingham in the South and Manchester to the North. Prospective home buyers or people renting in the area will appreciate the local amenities and attractions including the amazing Alton Towers theme park (great day out!). Competitive house prices are a big draw to the area. Stoke is classed as one of the most affordable areas of Staffordshire. The M6 Motorway between the Midlands and Scottish Borders is within easy reach, and the A50 connects Stoke with the M1 between London and Leeds. Manchester International Airport is less than 45 minutes away and Birmingham & East Midlands Airport are within an hour's drive too!
Our Candidate: You will be a Vet who is confident with working sole charge. With an RVN on site through the night and access to our OOH Vet network, there is heaps of support available! Once employed, you will be given the opportunity to join our ECCelerate course. This training programme will ensure vets deliver the best possible outcomes for every emergency case that they see, whether the case presents at 2pm or 2am. The aim is that colleagues will be confident enough to deliver great care to emergency cases in a real-life environment with the equipment, and medication that they have available.
Rota: We embrace flexible working and shift patterns and would be very happy to discuss a reduced number of nights per month if you are looking for a part-time role. Tell us what works for you! To give a guide, for full-time, our OOH Vets work an average of 10 nights per month, typically working 7 nights on and 14 nights off with a 1:6 Saturday and Sunday (days) and a Bank Holiday per year. This works out to an average of 36 hours per week. Our salary range is based on a 40-hour working week.
Along with an attractive salary up to £80k pro rata, dependent on experience, here are some of the benefits you will enjoy:
If you feel you have the clinical experience and would like to be part of our dedicated night team that will focus on gold standard patient and client care, please get in touch! Fixed Term and Locum options also available if you want to test the waters!
