OOH Veterinary Surgeon – CVS Vets24/7 New Forest

Rota: Ideally 7 nights on, 14 nights off Flexible and part-time options considered

Salary: Up to £72,000 (full time equivalent)

Location: 15 minutes to Bournemouth Airport, quick commutes to Southampton and Salisbury

We are looking for an experienced OOH vet who is confident leading medical and surgical cases, carrying out diagnostic investigations and taking ownership of a varied overnight caseload. You will have space to use your professional judgement, work cases through from presentation to outcome and help shape a developing service where good ideas are welcomed.

Johannah Maxwell – Lead OOH Veterinary Surgeon
Johannah brings five years of dedicated OOH experience and is currently completing her ECC Certificate. She is passionate about emergency and critical care, enjoys sharing knowledge and is always open to ideas that could make the service better. Away from work, she enjoys running, CrossFit and travelling.

Sally – Registered Veterinary Nurse
Sally has worked in veterinary practice since 2014 and brings experience from both small animal and equine settings. Her recent move into ECC reflects the team's shared enthusiasm for learning, variety and the challenge of OOH work.

Clare – Registered Veterinary Nurse
Clare is a highly experienced veterinary nurse with an extensive background in emergency and referral practice in the UK and internationally. She brings calm capability to the team and, outside work, enjoys travelling in her campervan and cycling.

Nim – Lead OOH Veterinary Nurse
Nim brings a wealth of first-opinion and emergency experience and is working towards her ECC Certificate. She is passionate about excellent patient care and creating an overnight environment in which every colleague feels supported and able to do their best work.

The caseload offers the variety and responsibility an experienced OOH clinician is looking for, while allowing time to investigate thoroughly and manage cases from presentation through to outcome. Close working relationships with our daytime practices support smooth handovers, continuity for patients and a genuine sense of belonging to the wider hospital team.
