An exciting opportunity has opened up at YourVets Solihull for an ambitious OOH Veterinary Surgeon to join our team.
If you're at a stage in your career where you're keen to develop your leadership skills while still enjoying hands‑on clinical work, this could be the perfect move for you. You'll be fully supported by our Head Vet, Victoria, who is passionate about mentoring and helping colleagues grow with confidence.
Established in 2007, YourVets Solihull is a well‑regarded small animal practice and proud member of the YourVets group. Located in Olton, Solihull, our practice offers excellent accessibility, including disabled access and convenient on‑site parking.
We're proud of our modern facilities, specialist equipment and, most importantly, our friendly, experienced team who work together to provide outstanding veterinary care. From routine health checks to advanced surgeries, our focus is always on delivering the very best outcomes for our patients and clients.
As part of the wider YourVets group, we're able to offer referral services in soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics and endoscopy, along with cardiology and ophthalmology at our Wythall practice. We also run an ambulance service for smooth transfers to our out‑of‑hours facility, ensuring continuity of care. We also have an onsite CT scanner offering inpatient & outpatient referrals
The role
This is a part time position working a 1:6 rota pattern (7 nights on, 35 nights off). We genuinely want to hear what works best for your lifestyle.
Your shifts will offer variety, including inpatient care, consulting and operating. You'll also play a key role in supporting the team day‑to‑day, providing clinical guidance, sharing ideas and acting as a sounding board for case discussions.
By joining YourVets, you'll become part of a supportive group of five practices with around 30 FTE vets, including multiple certificate holders. This offers genuine opportunities for clinical progression, collaboration and seeing your cases through from start to finish.
Come and meet us
We believe choosing the right practice works both ways. That's why we'd love to invite you to come and spend an hour or two with us in practice — no pressure, just a chance to see what we're about and meet the team.
You're also welcome to reach out to our Resource Partner, Andy Leffers, at andrew.leffers@cvsvets.com, or take a virtual look around our practice: YourVets Solihull on Vimeo.
