The Opportunity
 
We are excited to offer an internship position for a motivated and enthusiastic veterinary graduate who is keen to develop a strong foundation in veterinary orthopaedics. This role is ideal for someone considering a future residency or advanced clinical practice.
As an intern, you will work closely with our Specialist (ECVS & RCVS) and ECVS board eligible orthopaedic surgeons, nurses, and support teams, gaining hands‑on experience in diagnostics, surgical procedures, inpatient care, and client communication.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with orthopaedic surgeries and procedures
  • Managing pre‑ and post‑operative patients
  • Supporting inpatient care and case work‑ups
  • Participating in ward rounds, clinical discussions, and CPD
  • Collaborating closely with the nursing and rehabilitation teams
  • Maintaining high clinical and welfare standards at all times
What We're Looking For
·                     A veterinary surgeon registered (or eligible to register) with the RCVS
  • A strong interest in orthopaedics and surgical practice
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive, reliable, and compassionate approach to patient care
  • Willingness to learn and contribute positively to a busy referral hospital
