About the role:
Day-to-day duties of the role will include:
Line management of the Reception team, including 1-2-1's, training and mentoring
Administrative and secretarial support for nominated directors
Arranging, attending and taking minutes at meetings, as requested
Preparation, editing and distribution of reports, presentations and other documentation in line with the CVS branding and style
Communication of corporate information to various parties
Assist with on-boarding of new staff, and induction programmes, as required
Compilation, and checking of, credit card returns and expenses claims, as requested
Assist with general queries and requests into central email inboxes, taking ownership of tasks from start to finish, liaising with the requestor and keeping them informed
Co-ordination of corporate initiatives
Maintenance of relevant electronic files
Undertake, or provide assistance on projects
What we're looking for in our Practice Administrator:
Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to use positive language
Line Management experience is essential
Co-operative and solution-focused, in addition to a strong customer and team focus
Demonstrate a high level of organisation & time management skills, particularly in an environment with multiple, and sometimes conflicting priorities
Ability to arrange complex diaries with a focus on minimising travel and time out of the business, whilst taking into account clinical commitments and urgency, researching and delivering the best options
Ability to take accurate and concise minutes of meetings
Excellent word processing skills
High level of skill in using technology, including software such as Microsoft Office packages, internet and databases, and technology hardware, such as laptops, projectors, printers, phones, binding machines, etc
Solid numeric and literacy skills
Demonstrated ability to handle information of a sensitive nature and maintain confidentiality at all times
Strong administrative experience
A secretarial or Business Administration qualification or equivalent would be advantageous
Previous experience in veterinary healthcare or a services-oriented environment would be advantageous

Salary will be up to £28,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience
