Here at The Veterinary Hospital and Surgery we are looking for a full time Practice Manager to join our team in Gorleston and Lowestoft.

 

Our practice has 2 surgeries (all close to the sea) with Gorleston as our 24/7 RCVS accredited Veterinary Hospital and Lowestoft our Veterinary Surgery and home to a radio-iodine therapy unit.  At both sites we have invested in all the facilities of a modern practice: digital and dental x-ray, operation suites, cat friendly cattery and kennels, multi-parameter patient montoring, ECG, blood pressure monitor, ultrasound, in house biochemistry, electrolytes, haematology, microscope and dental machine.  We also offer endoscopy and laprascopic procedures at our Hospital in Gorleston.

 

We are looking for someone proactive with strong leadership and management skills to become a Practice Manager for our sites. You should have a clean driving licence to be able to drive between sites. You should be a great problem solver and able to demonstrate excellent client care and communication skills, as well as effective team management on a daily basis. Therefore managerial and leadership experience are essential.

 

The Practice Manager will work in partnership with other key members of the Practice Leadership team to ensure we provide an outstanding and professional service to our clients and their patients. Within this role you will be involved in all aspects of managing a multi-site team, including financial responsibility, debt control, client complaints, people management and premises management.  You should be a confident leader and able to empower those around you with a keen interest in developing people and teams.

 

Previous veterinary experience is not essential for this role, but you should be resourceful with strong leadership and planning skills. The ideal candidate would have strong people management and customer service skills, potentially from a retail or medical background or similar.
