We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and forward-thinking team at our modern,well equipped small animal hospital in Alnwick. The role is full-time – 40 hours a week over 4 or 5 days with 1 in 14 weekends and 1 in 7 Saturday mornings, we value work-life balance and aim to create a rota that supports our team's well being. Salary £27,000 to £35,000 depending on experience. The hospital has a dedicated emergency out of hours team ensuring the best care for our patients and partner practices.

The role…
The position is based at our well-equipped Alnwick branch and is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who wants to make a real difference to owners and their pets by working in an efficient, fast paced department. You will be part of a team that oversees routine, emergency critical care and advanced surgical procedures in our hospital premises. Surgeries vary from cat castrates to nephrectomies, there is oppurtunity to be involved in advanced procedures and intensive nursing of inpatients.
As a valued Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll play a key role in providing high-quality nursing care to a diverse range of patients. We regulary nurse patients with feeding tubes, chest drains, CRIs, pre/post orthopaedic. Our nurses carry out imaging, dental scaling and other schedule 3 procedures under RCVS guidleines.
Additional responsibilities will include maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and contributing to the efficient running of the practice through teamwork and clear communication with clients.
