Life at Severn Edge Veterinary Hospital

We are looking for a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our hospital and work 38.57 hours across 4 days a week with a share in the 1 in 7 Saturday & Sunday rota (with TOIL for the Sunday).

Severn Edge Veterinary Centre – Bridgnorth is a modern, purpose-built, 24-hour hospital that offers an excellent rage of facilities and the opportunity to see cases through from admission to recovery/discharge, thanks to its ability to keep patients in-house. Ideally located with easy access to Telford, Kidderminster, and Worcester, the hospital has a rewarding caseload, including the occasional exotics species alongside predominantly small animal work, with strong links to charities and the wider community.

Our facilities include digital x-ray, dental x-ray, CT scanner, ultrasound, multiparameters, endoscopy, microscope, in-house lab equipment, giving you the tools you need to deliver outstanding care. As an ISFM Gold Cat Friendly Practice, the team are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and features dedicated feline facilities alongside advanced diagnostic and surgical services.

Supported by a large team of vets, nurses, and support staff across a network of ten practices, including certificate holders in ophthalmology, orthopaedics, and soft tissue surgery, the practice offers a highly collaborative environment where development is genuinely encouraged and supported.

No two days at Severn Edge are ever the same, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, running wards and monitoring recovery
  • Deliver nurse consults and clinics
  • Monitor anaesthetics for first and second ops
  • Support student nurses in their clinical journey

 

About you

Our ideal candidate will have some experience as a qualified veterinary nurse and be confident in all areas of nursing, including anaesthetics. An interest in clinical coaching is desirable but not essential.
