Life at Chestergates Veterinary Specialists

Chestergates Veterinary Specialists is a large, multi‑disciplinary small-animal referral hospital with a passionate and highly skilled team of specialists, vets, nurses, PCAs and receptionists. As a leading referral centre, our facilities include advanced diagnostics and surgical equipment such as a CT scanner, X‑ray suite, fluoroscopy, and arthroscopy, giving you the tools you need to deliver outstanding, gold-standard care.

About You

We're looking for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our Cheshire team.

This is a full-time, 38‑hour role, working 4 × 10‑hour days with a variable day off each week, on a 12‑month fixed-term contract.

No two days will be the same. You will:

  • Rotate through core referral departments including Medicine, Wards, Theatre, and Cardiology.
  • Use your skills in a busy specialist environment, supporting diagnostics, procedures, and patient care at a high level.
  • Provide exceptional nursing care and excellent client communication.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, equipment care, and clinical quality across all work areas.
  • Embrace opportunities to learn and grow through our extensive CPD and in-house training resources.
  • Contribute to a friendly, welcoming, and supportive team culture.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and external referring practices.

Ideally, you will have:

  • 2+ years qualified experience
  • Hospital or referral experience (desirable but not essential)

This role is perfect for an RVN looking to develop further in referral practice and work with specialist-led teams.
