Are you looking for a change or for the next step in your career? Come and be a part of our progressive highly skilled team!
Raddenstiles Veterinary Surgery is based in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Exmouth, with the coast on our doorstep. We are very lucky to have wonderful clients and patients and have RCVS awards for outstanding client service and outstanding in-patient care.
We now have an exciting opportunity for an RVN with (or looking to develop) a passion for clinical coaching to join our team. You will be an important member of our clinical team, with a commitment to promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement and clinical excellence.
The role is initially a 12 month maternity cover role but with the potential for more long-term position.
Our practice is staffed by a friendly, vibrant team. We are an RCVS training practice and have 10 RVN's, and two student veterinary nurses. We invest in our team and encourage our colleagues to pursue their professional interests so that everyone has the opportunity to develop their career.
Our lead clinical coach is going on maternity leave creating an exciting opportunity for an RVN with a passion for clinical coaching to join our team. You will either have experience in clinical coaching or be looking to develop that experience and be committed to supporting the next generation of student nurses. As a clinical coach you will ideally work a minimum of 4 days per week to ensure adequate student contact time, although we can be flexible about the hours worked and the work pattern. We are supportive of those with childcare commitments.
Duties will include a mixed shift pattern, starting from 7.45am and finishing any time up until 7.00pm, giving plenty of variety in the role. As well as teaching, guiding and supervising the student nurses, duties will include supporting the team with day-to-day running of the clinical areas, kennels (inpatients and post-operative patients) as well as GAs and supporting operating vets. We prefer to play to people's strengths and although the role is varied, nurses are encouraged to pursue areas of particular interest. There are always opportunities to take on areas of responsibility if desired. Ideally, this is a full-time role working 40 hours a week although part time hours would be considered. There are no OOH duties. There is currently a 1 in 8 Saturday mornings till 8am-1pm.
