Registered Veterinary Nurse

Registered Veterinary Nurse, Maternity cover. The Harrogate Veterinary Hospital and Leeds Road practice, Harrogate, North Yorkshire. 

The Harrogate Vets are seeking a new RVN to join them on a Maternity cover, fixed term contract at their brand new hospital and Leeds Road practice.

Rota: 40 hours a week. Across either 4 or 5 days a week. No Sundays and no OOH's.

Life at The Harrogate Vet

Located on either side of Harrogate, the practices are situated at either side of Harrogate with easy access from Leeds, York, and surrounding areas, with the stunning Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty close by for those who enjoy the outdoors. Leeds Road provides a welcoming community-practice feel, while Rippon Way operates a 24/7 hospital and referral centre for advanced imaging and complex cases.

Our facilities include digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, multiparameters, endoscopy, CT scanning, in-house lab equipment, cat-only consulting room, and separate cat and dog wards, along with a well-established team with certificate holders in surgery, medicine, and imaging, giving you the tools you need to deliver outstanding care. With ISFM Gold Cat Friendly accreditation, Zero Pain Practice status, and a strong fear-free ethos, the practice is committed to providing personalised care, alongside a supportive environment that encourages professional growth.

No two days at The Harrogate Vet are ever the same, your responsibilities will include:

• Provide high-quality patient care, running wards and monitoring recovery
• Deliver nurse consults and clinics
• Monitor anaesthetics for first and second ops
• Support student nurses in their clinical journey
