Life at Active Vet Care Summerleaze 

Active Vet Care Summerleaze is a 24‑hour small animal hospital with a passionate team of vets, nurses, PCAs, and receptionists. Our facilities include all the diagnostic and clinical equipment you would expect in a modern hospital setting, including X‑ray, dental X‑ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, giving you the tools you need to deliver outstanding care. 

We are proud to serve the Maidenhead community - an area offering excellent transport links, green spaces, and a thriving local town environment - making it a fantastic place to live and work. Our practice culture is warm, collaborative, and progressive, and as a university partner practice, we offer opportunities for RVNs to teach, mentor, and help develop future veterinary professionals.

Hours & Rota: Full time, 38 hours across 4 days per week, with 1 in 6 full‑day weekend shifts. No night work is required—but there is the opportunity to take on nights and emergency work if desired.

Day‑to‑day tasks: Inpatient care, consulting, anaesthesia, and Schedule 3 procedures.

 

About You

 

We're looking for a dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join our Berkshire team. No two days will be the same, you will:

  • Be passionate about delivering exceptional care to both our patients and their owners every day.
  • Support the outcome of patients' care in all aspects of clinical work as part of the team.
  • Ensure quality is maintained by keeping our practice in excellent condition—ensuring quality of care and the best possible outcomes for every patient.

  • Contribute to creating a positive environment, fostering a friendly, welcoming and supportive team culture.
