We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at PetMedics. We are an RCVS accredited 24-hour Small Animal Veterinary Hospital and Advanced Clinical Services centre.

The role… 

  • To provide a high standard of nursing care, including intensive care and emergency critical care, to a variety of patients.
  • Assist our Vets during surgical and medical procedures
  • Monitor and support the recovery of patient's post-surgery
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Support and collaborate with your peers
  • Contribute to the efficient running of the practice, including client communication
  • Support and run nursing clinics

 

You'll bring...

  • Must be RCVS registered
  • A passion for animal care and welfare
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

PetMedics is a large veterinary hospital, staffed by a truly superb clinical team of 37 veterinary surgeons, 41 nurses and a supporting team of PCAs, receptionists, administrative staff and an ambulance team.

We have a large waiting room with a separate cat waiting room area. We are proud to have been awarded the GOLD status for being a Cat Friendly Clinic and the SILVER Rabbit Friendly status. Our facilities include - 4 theatres, 6 consulting rooms, an intensive care ward, separate cat and dog wards, an exotics ward, an isolation ward, a digital X-ray, a CT scanner, several ultrasound scanners, endoscopy, laparoscopy, mechanical ventilation, and an extensive in-house laboratory.

Salary and Hours:

The salary is up to £33,000 depending on experience, plus benefits.

This is a full-time role, working 4 days per week and one in four weekends (average 40 hours per week).
