Life at Falkland Veterinary

Established in 1989, Falkland Veterinary Centre is a well-respected small animal practice in Newbury, committed to clinical excellence, training and supporting the growth of every member of the team.

Our team consists of 10 Veterinary Surgeons and 10 RVNs, each bringing a variety of skills, interests, and expertise, allowing us to manage a diverse and interesting caseload. Our nursing team is further supported by 4 Student Veterinary Nurses and 2 Patient Care Assistants, creating a collaborative environment that encourages learning at every level.

With a wealth of experience across the practice, including certificate holders and colleagues with interests ranging from exotics to a variety of specialist disciplines, there are plenty of opportunities to expand your knowledge and develop your career. We pride ourselves on fostering a culture of teamwork, support, and continuous professional development.

This full-time role offers 40 hours across 4 days, a 1 in 7 weekend rota and a day off in lieu following weekend work.

About you:

We're looking for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. No two days will be the same, you will: 

  • Be passionate about delivering exceptional care to both our patients and their owners every day. 
  • Support the outcome of patients care in all aspects of clinical work as part of the team. 
  • Ensure Quality is maintained by keeping our practice in excellent condition- ensuring quality of care and the best possible outcomes for every patient 
  • Learn, develop and grow with us, taking advantage of ongoing training and development opportunities offered by CVS and our practice. 
  • Contribute to creating a positive environment, fostering a friendly, welcoming and supportive team culture. 
  • Communicate with confidence, use your exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—to build strong, lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, and the pets they love.
