We are looking to expand our Veterinary Nurse team at our hospital on the edge of the New Forest National Park, Hampshire.

We are an RCVS accredited Small Animal Hospital and Equine Clinic, with a large experienced, supportive and friendly team. Our commitment to our team and their career development means that further study is actively supported, encouraged and funded. The practice provides small animal referral services in Ophthalmology and Orthopaedics, and we are well equipped with DR X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, therapeutic laser, ventilator, endoscopic, and laparoscopic facilities along with multi-parameter monitors and an in-house laboratory.

We have an experienced Nursing Team with 2 Head Nurses and a Senior Nurse Team – we are immensely proud that our Senior Nurse Team individuals all started their Veterinary Nurse careers here – as SVN's / on placement and have progressed to their current senior position.

The practice provides exemplary veterinary care/case continuity for our patients and clients with its own 24/7 emergency out of hours service.

We are passionate about our team pursuing their areas of interest, whether that be ECC, theatre, running nurse clinics, schedule 3 procedures, or inpatient care.  

Who are we looking for and what does the role require?

We welcome applications from Registered Veterinary Nurses of all experience levels and are happy to support newly qualified RVNs as they develop their skills and confidence. Ideally, this is a full-time position (average of 38.5 – 40 hours per week), but we can also accommodate part-time hours for the right candidate. Flexibility is important to us, and we're open to discussing a work pattern that suits you. 

The full-time role includes a contribution of approximately 19-night shifts per year.  For each duty night completed there is an additional duty payment – representing a minimum of an additional £2470.00 per annum (for 19). The required contribution to the night duty rota can be pro rata'd if part-time. With full-time hours we also require participation in a 1 in 7 full weekend rota, with time off in lieu given the following week – resulting in 1 in 7 long weekends off to make the most of your time outside of work.
