Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for high clinical standards and client care? Would you like the opportunity to perform Schedule 3 procedures, with training available for surgical rotation, nurse consults and medical nursing? 
  
We have an exciting opportunity for an RVN to join our friendly, small animal team here at Haygate Veterinary Centre, Wellington. We are a 4 branch practice with surgeries across Telford. We are looking for a proactive individual to provide an exceptional standard of nursing care, assist the Veterinary Surgeons and actively promote the products and services of the practice.  
 
You will be based at our principal site for Haygate Vets in Wellington, which has a healthy variety of medical and surgical caseloads. We have excellent facilities and Certificate holders in Surgery, Cardiology, Medicine and diagnostic imaging on site so can offer fulfilling career opportunities.   
 
Wellington offers a dedicated nurse consultation room, separate wards and theatres, high spec laboratory equipment, multiparameter and oscillometric BP machines, Bair huggers, ample drip pumps, digital x-ray and advanced ultrasound, shiny new laparoscopy kit with CT installation due for May 2026. 
 
This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 day shift pattern, shifts examples are 8am-4pm/11am-7pm over 5 days, or 8am-7pm, 8am-5.30pm or 9am-6.30pm over 4 days. Saturdays are a 1:5, which are included in your 40 hour working week. Part-time and flexible working would be considered for the right candidate. There are no OOH requirements in this role, however, as we have our own emergency service on site there is the opportunity to explore ECC opportunities, if desired. 
 
About you 
 
We're looking for a dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join our Wellington team. No two days will be the same, you will be: 
  • Advocating and encouraging nurse clinics and client education 
  • Theatre work to include interesting soft tissue cases and orthopaedics 
  • Supporting and coaching our SVN's & PCA's 
  • Performing Schedule 3 procedures
  • Running nurse clinicals
  • Leading and improving our inpatient medical care 
  • Ensuring the smooth day to day running of our practice 
  • Auditing and working towards RCVS Practice standard awards
