We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated rotating interns who are committed to practicing the highest standards of veterinary medicine and patient care and who would relish the opportunity to further their career, improve their knowledge base and technical skills over the next 12 months immersed in an internship role.
Our internship Programme
The rotating internship at Lumbry Park is a fixed one-year position. In this exciting role, you will work under the supervision and support of specialists in multiple disciplines where interns are actively encouraged to be an integral part of the team.
Out-of-hours coverage is a fundamental part of an internship including weeknights and weekends. During these shifts, you will be working alongside Registered Veterinary Nurses and Patient Care Assistants and will be responsible for hospitalised patients with back-up support from clinicians in different disciplines. A week of night shifts is followed by a full week off to recover allowing our interns to maintain an excellent quality of life and to return to work fully refreshed.
A unique aspect to our internship is the ability to tailor your service weeks to your personal interests. Up to 20% of your time will be immersion in services of your choice allowing each intern to experience an individualized programme.
We have an active learning ethos and rotating interns participate Morbidity and Mortality rounds, case presentation, journal club and book clubs.
