Senior Veterinary Surgeon
Location: Gosport, Hampshire
Contract: Permanent, Full‑time (Part‑time considered)
Practice Type: First Opinion Small Animal
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum (DOE)

Life at Alver Vets
Alver Vets is a busy, high‑caseload small animal practice with a passionate team of vets, nurses, PCAs and receptionists. Our team includes:
  • 5 Veterinary Surgeons
    • 1 Certificate holder in Feline Medicine
    • 1 Vet undertaking a Certificate in Imaging
  • 15 highly skilled Nurses
  • 8 experienced Receptionists

 

We are a teaching practice, so if you're interested in developing others, you will thrive here. Our nursing team is high‑performing, proactive and always keen to get stuck in.
 
We also have a high dental caseload, with an active waiting list — making this a great environment for someone who enjoys or wants to develop further in dentistry.
 
Located in Gosport, we're part of a welcoming community surrounded by coastline, with convenient links to Portsmouth, Fareham and the wider Hampshire area.
 
About You
We're looking for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join our Gosport team.

Rota & Flexibility
 
  • Ideally full‑time, but part‑time is considered
  • 1:4 Saturdays (8:30am–4:30pm)
  • We offer flexibility to help balance work with hobbies, family life or other commitments.
