We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced surgeon with a surgical bias to join our practice.  We have a wide and varied caseload and the facilities waiting for you to fully develop your skills and potential. We also have the support needed for an experienced vet wanting to study towards certificate level.

Our practice is an RCVS registered hospital and surgery, split over two sites on the Norfolk/Suffolk coast. The area is within the Norfolk Broads and offers beautiful surroundings, whilst maintaining a reasonable commute to London. We host a MiNightVets out of hour's service, providing 24-hour onsite care for our patients. We also run a radioactive iodine referral service, accepting referrals from the wider region.

We have a visiting Cardiologist and the following equipment/facilities available.

  • Radioactive iodine unit
  • 4 fully equipped theatres
  • Full orthopaedic kit including TPLO and TTA plates
  • Lap spay kit
  • Ultrasound and Echocardiography at each site
  • EPOC, lactate, blood/plasma storage site for pet blood bank
  • Video assisted bronchoscopy/endoscopy
  • DR X-ray system
  • Elixir kit for toxicology emergencies
  • Separate dog/cat kennels and large well equipped isolation facilities
  • Full equipped onsite lab, including endocrine testing

We are looking for a vet that has an interest in surgery who is keen to support our surgical caseload and develop their surgical skills. We would provide full development opportunities with two full operating days per week alongside consulting days, support to study a certificate, external/internal CPD tailored to your needs and support from other clinicians.

A full-time position is worked over 4 days, with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings. Weekends, bank holidays and nights are covered by the on-site Minightvet service. Out of hours shifts can be available for anyone interested in ECC work. We are fully supportive of flexible working opportunities and exploring the right fit for you.

Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience.

We would love to hear from you and discuss what you are looking for.

CVS is committed to being a fully inclusive place to work where all our colleagues are encouraged and supported to be themselves, where difference is celebrated and where everyone feels able to deliver their best.
