Join the dynamic supply team at Animed as a Stock & Supply Assistant, supporting the Supply and Stock Manager to ensure product availability for our valued customers. This role involves close collaboration with suppliers, CVS Logistics, and Animed Customer Services to maintain a smooth stock flow and reliable product availability.

This position is perfect for someone bright, enthusiastic, and eager to develop their understanding of supply and stock management. While previous experience is not essential, candidates should be quick learners, able to take ownership of tasks, and maintain a proactive, can‑do attitude. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with both internal teams and external supply partners.

 

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Create and send daily orders to a variety of suppliers using our stock management and purchase order system.
  • Ensure orders are delivered at expected times.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding stock or delivery issues, taking proactive actions as necessary.
  • Work closely with our Logistics team to help manage the flow of stock into our warehouse and ensure we have available, sellable stock.
  • Assist the Supply and Stock Manager in managing inventory levels.
  • Liaise with Customer Services to manage customer expectations on stock issues.
  • Work with suppliers to address and resolve invoice discrepancies.

 

Skills and Experience Required

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Quick to learn systems-based processes.
  • Good general IT skills.
  • Ability to take responsibility and use initiative where necessary.
  • Numerate.
  • Ideally a pet owner, past or present, who understands our customer's relationship with their pets and how that relates to product availability.
