At Animed, we are a rapidly growing online veterinary pharmacy and pet shop, specialising in prescription medicines, clinical diets and premium pet products. The Supply & Stock Coordinator supports the Stock & Supply Manager by coordinating supplier activity, managing purchasing data, supporting inbound stock flow and producing accurate supply and stock reporting. The role plays a key part in ensuring supply processes scale effectively as the number of direct suppliers increases, whilst maintaining service levels, data accuracy and system integrity.

This position suits someone with experience in supply or stock coordination who is organised, proactive and comfortable working with systems, data and multiple stakeholders.

Please note: this is a hybris role with 3 days a week on site, and 2 days a week from home.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the onboarding and ongoing administration of direct supplier accounts
  • Act as the main operational contact for suppliers, managing day‑to‑day queries and issue resolution
  • Manage Freight when required
  • Develop strong working relationships with suppliers to support performance and reliability
  • Raise and manage purchase orders using the stock management system
  • Maintain accurate supplier pricing, lead times and ordering parameters within systems
  • Support supplier performance tracking and assist with review preparation
  • Monitor inbound stock and delivery schedules to support product availability
  • Work closely with Logistics and Warehouse teams to resolve delivery, receipting and stock discrepancies
  • In charge of stock reconciliations, investigations and system adjustments
  • Maintain accurate supply and purchasing data across systems
  • Support reporting linked to cost control, availability and supplier performance
  • Support the development and documentation of supply processes as the business grows
  • Identify process issues or risks and escalate where appropriate
  • Support system and process improvements alongside the Stock & Supply Manager
  • Liaise with Customer Services to support accurate communication on supply issues
  • Work with Finance to resolve invoice queries and maintain supplier data accuracy
  • Support cross‑functional collaboration to ensure smooth end‑to‑end supply operations

 

Key requirements include:

  • Previous experience in a supply chain, stock, purchasing or coordination role
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and suppliers
  • Confident working with data, reports and systems‑based processes
  • Good general IT skills, with Excel experience essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive, flexible and comfortable working in a growing and changing environment
  • Ideally a pet owner, past or present, who fully understands our customer's relationship with their pets and how that relates to product availability
  • Freight Experience desirable
